    Settlement of the human species in the universe and artificial intelligence

    The emergence of artificial intelligence is inevitable if people want to survive as a species and settle throughout the universe.

    People will have to invent artificial intelligence inevitably when conquering outer space, mastering space and creating artificial planets.


    And I want to tell why this is so.

    The astronauts always felt connected with their native planet and could contact it at any time via the radio. Thus, both the management of a spaceship, and simply the solution of all sorts of questions, are completely realized as a rule by man or from the Earth.


    It is quite another matter - flights to the outer space. After all, even to the nearest more or less tolerable planet Mars fly one way to six months, and the signal goes from 7 to 30 minutes. And to master the distant worlds online is already impossible. You will not be able to sit and talk to Mars via the Internet online.


    Even if we analyze in detail the conquest of the closest Mars to us - there are a number of issues that can not be solved without artificial intelligence:

    1)In a six-month flight to Mars, according to the research of Soviet scientists, it is better that astronauts sleep in anabiosis, and the ship be controlled by artificial intelligence. Thus, firstly, the psychological problem of finding a small team in a long space flight is solved (a very important problem was shown by a series of Soviet and Russian experiments); secondly, the effect of cosmic radiation on the organism with delayed metabolic processes is less destructive, as shown by experiments.


    2)On Mars from orbit are found caves directly in the surface of the planet, around which there is a significant amount of methane gas. And maybe this methane can have an organic origin, in these caves we could find an alien life! But as long as people do not get to Mars - it's completely impossible to control remote robots to explore these caves from the Earth. And for autonomous research there is not so clever intellect of robots capable to reactive traction (having no alternative because of the absence of a dense atmosphere - propellers and wings do not fit) to navigate in the narrow space of the cave and most to look for life there.


    As for flying to a more distant space, it's not even that artificial intelligence should control the flight of a spacecraft on its own, because the whole crew will sleep. The point is not even that the AI will have to dodge during the flight from the asteroids, monitor the integrity of the crew's life support systems, how many - that we do not even know - how much time it is really possible to put a person to sleep without harming his health and how real the adult's flight is at all real in the far space.


    In 2017 a TRAPPIST-1 star was found at a distance of 40 light-years from the Earth, around which 7 earth-like planets are spinning around, of which 3 planets in the habitable zone


    The maximum speed of the New Horizons, which flew past Pluto, was about 23 km / s. Hence the distance 1 light year this device could overcome for 299792/23 = 13000 years.


    Those. We need 13,000 * 40 = 520,000 years to achieve the most promising planetary system with modern technology.

    Of course, we can not lull people on board, but build a "ship of generations", where many thousands of generations will be replaced before they reach the goal. But with the probability of almost 100% these people will arrange a revolution on board (most likely 5,000 revolutions) before they reach their goal - and therefore will not reach anywhat at all.


    In other words - neither the euthanized people, nor the "ship of generations" - will not be a reasonable solution to the problem of the settlement of the human species.

    And the only really affordable method of colonizing new worlds by human species is to send frozen human embryos to other planets. They will need a much smaller spacecraft and less energy.


    But the problem is that upon arrival someone should revive these embryos, and not just revive - but raise them to a conscious at least 15 years of age, build a dwelling for them on a new land-like planet, teach them all knowledge and Technologies, accumulated by modern mankind. And the only one who can do this is artificial intelligence.


    Perhaps we ourselves, our ancestors, have become on this planet in this way. And our embryos were even animated, but something broke, something went wrong, and people themselves had to learn everything from scratch, without artificial intelligence. And in our species this path took 10 million years.


    Those. Preservation and transfer of scientific knowledge is of unusually high value, and our species has paid 10 million years of history for this value: wars, diseases, obscurantism - all this price people have paid and still pay. And if, at the very beginning, we had artificial intelligence who knew how to effectively teach us , we would avoid all these problems.

    The technology of Pangeya is intended not only to be an artificial intellect, providing progress in independent research by itself , but, above all, it is a perfect tool for teaching people by each other! And the training in a variety of forms:

    1)Passive learning (when a person looks through an extraneous account and learns from it)

    2)Active learning with the simultaneous involvement of any number of students and teachers in one lesson


    Training, education, transfer of scientific knowledge is the most important thing that we must pass on to future generations.


    The rest will be swept away by the wind of history,


    But mathematical theorems and physical laws have already proved that they can live for millennia and ensure the further development of mankind!
