Very many of them have collapsed, and after reading the book “Google. A breakthrough in the spirit of time ”by David Wise. This article was born precisely after reading this book.

All of us sometimes find ourselves captive to stereotypes. So the idea of ​​the success story of Google has evolved in my mind for a long time  more from abstract stereotypes than on the basis of facts. It’s better not to ask where the stereotypes come from, they just are. And here is one of them.

An ordinary guy from Russia meets another ordinary guy from the USA and as a result of communication and friendship they have a mega-idea. Having created everything on the knee, the guys lock themselves in the garage and from there alone quietly conquest the world with their excellent ideas, which they do not tire of inventing. One fine day, the guys wake up and,what a mirracle! They are already billionaires, everyone and everybody knows their names, and people use their service in all countries of the world. A kind of variant of the so-called “American dream”, about which we hear so much: “as a child I sold matches on the street, and by the age of 60 I had accumulated a billion”.

Oho! Have you already an idea? And you even gathered to go on this stereotypical path leading to the seizure of the world? Wait a minute, let's formulate a few conditions necessary to defeat Google. Beat them with their own weapons!

Simple guys

All of us consider ourselves to be “simple guys,” well, actually, why are we worse than Page, or especially the former compatriot Brin? Well, no, really? Well, except that not all of us dad worked as an employee of the state plan in the USSR. What? Isn't your dad a finance ministry official? Well I do not know. Probably, even without such a dad, we will be able to immigrate to the United States and go to the University of Maryland, in which your dad will not be as a teacher.

Stop. Do you still consider Bryn and Paige "simple guys"? Well, you will not be difficult to get a bachelor's degree at a university in the United States at 19 and enroll in a doctoral degree program at Stanford University.

A person who has learned these 3 sciences is easy, in a matter of days, and maybe even hours alone will be able to master any previously unknown area of ​​knowledge.

EDUCATION is not money, it is more expensive. Money can be lost, easy  lost. EDUCATION can not be lost. Moreover, if your EDUCATION is real - the money you can always earn new, even if you completely lose everything. But if you do not have EDUCATION, then you will not have a chance to get money you have lost

EDUCATION weighs nothing, it is strange - but it is. It is completely light and weightless. And if you suddenly have to flee from somewhere — you cannot carry anything with you except your EDUCATION. You should think about it.

Here, for example, take from past articles the famous RSA encryption method that ensures the security of the entire Internet. For hacking, it just requires space computing power - and yet, theoretically, it can be hacked in a very long time. Especially if people invent quantum computers - with almost unlimited computing power.

And yet, if you imagine that quantum computers are created and the computing power becomes infinite - will there be at least one way to still securely encrypt information?

The answer is yes, there is such a way. And it is called Absolute Encryption or one-time Notepads. And surprisingly, it is even easier than RSA. Even an elementary school student can understand it.

Consider the following scheme (at the end of the numbers in brackets we write the remainder of division by 2: so for odd numbers, the remainder when divided by 2 = 1, for even numbers = 0)

even (0) + even (0) = even (0), example 4 + 6 = 10

odd (1) + odd (1) = even (0), example 3 + 7 = 10

That is absolutely any set of 0 and 1 could be a prototype of an encrypted message - in which absolutely any information could be encrypted! It could be equally as top-secret data, and poems of the famous poet.

To decrypt a message — you must do the opposite — again, apply a one-time notepad to the encrypted message — and you’ll get the original message:

This encryption method is impossible to crack in any way, if you do not have an encrypting and the same decrypting notepad.

Notepads are called one-time, because for security purposes it is recommended to use a new notepad for each new message.

So why, then, use RSA in Internet encryption? One of the main reasons is that notepads should be as long as encrypted messages. This leads to traffic overspending. While in RSA, even 100-digit prime numbers are relatively small compared to the huge amounts of traffic transmitted on the Internet. And besides, absolute encryption is symmetric encryption - the same notepad (key) is used for both encryption and decryption of a message. RSA is a rare example of asymmetric encryption — where encryption and decryption keys are different — and this is more efficient. But this is a topic for individual articles.

And nevertheless - all these in no way detract from the fact that messages encrypted with one-time notepads cannot be decrypted in principle. No matter how powerful computers you use.

But what this means is really incomprehensible. And we will tell you in simple human language.

Now let's forget about programming and think about yourself. About your human body. Each of us has different parts of the body and different organs. The question is - can we completely control ourselves? The question is not idle - and if you think - then you will understand the answer - NO. For example, you want to raise your hand - it's easy. You want to hold your breath for a while - it's easy. You want to say something - it's easy. And now you want to stop your heart with the power of thought - can you? No, you can not. Or, for example, you want to stop digesting food in the intestines with the power of thought - can you? Not. Or you want not to feel pain - you cannot either.

Why are we so strangely arranged? Why can we do something with ourselves - but something not? The fact is that we ourselves have a protection against the fact that we do not break ourselves and die because of inaccuracy. There are fences inside of us that we cannot overcome. The truth is, there are such people - they are called yogis - who still know how to overcome these fences for a while: they walk on hot coals and it does not hurt them, they can hold their breath for 15-20 minutes, slowing down all processes in their body so much that they do not die.

So the greatest secret is that the OOP is the science of building artificial fences inside your own program. Fences from yourself. You yourself forbid a lot of things to do inside your own program - so as not to accidentally break it. And the science of fences is 99% of programming. And 1% is actually self programming without fences.

The science of fences, in addition to the methods of building fences, also includes the science of superpowers for overcoming them in special cases (yes, these are the same yogis walking on coals).

OOP is necessary for writing large projects, especially those that exceed 100,000 lines of code. But for smaller programs, the OOP often creates excessive difficulties and makes these projects difficult at all.

For example, the first version of the Linux kernel was written by its creator, Linus Torvalds, without OOP in pure C language, and it was just 100,000 lines of code.

But later, the entire core was rewritten by the developer community in the object-oriented C ++ language. And now the Linux kernel exceeds 18,000,000 lines of code.

As you can see, the direct problem requires 1 operation of multiplication, and the reverse one requires 27261.

The sophisticated reader will notice that it is enough to reach only half - to the number 13631 in the attempts of division, the mathematician will say that it is enough to check to the square root of 27263 - i.e. to 165. But even in this situation, it is 165 times more difficult than the direct problem of the 5th grade.

And the number of operations needed for this is greater than the age of the Universe in seconds.

No one can quickly decompose numbers into prime factors. No one came up with a quick way to solve a 5th grade level puzzle. And this task remains unresolved for more than two thousand years since the time of the ancient Greeks.

8. snort — система обнаружения вторжений 

Система обнаружения сетевых вторжений. Выявит и детально запротоколирует все сетевые атаки на ваш рабочий компьютер или сервер. Кто атаковал, когда, откуда, какие порты, с каким результатом и т.д.

9. tcpdump — захват сетевого трафика 

Записывает весь трафик в универсальном формате PCAP для дальнейшего изучения. Например, можно записать трафик публичной сети Wi-Fi и дома изучить записанное с помощью Wireshark.

10. iftop — производительность сетевой подсистемы 

Мониторинг производительности сетевой подсистемы. Тормозит интернет? Проверьте для начала iftop — может банально не тянет сетевой адаптер.

11. netstat — что происходит? Показывает открытые сетевые порты и подключившихся к ним клиентов. Периодически полезно запускать на серверах для проверки, не протроянили ли компьютер.

Вы же тренируете мышцы тела - силовыми нагрузками, а задачами - вы тренируете мозг! 

3.  Как обеспечить безопасность сайта

Интернет является источником не только полезной информации, но и средой для распространения компьютерных вирусов. Вирусы используются злоумышленниками как для кражи информации, так и для получения контроля над зараженным компьютером или интернет-сайтом. Не будьте доверчивым и беспечным. И почитайте  немного различных статей про Идентификацию, Защиту от DDoS-атак, Веб-трафик, Валидацию. 

Проводите аудит и тестирование проекта к готовой реализации.

Проведите тестирование на проникновение — взломайте себя, а также попросите кого-то еще взломать вас - чтобы найти уязвимости и устранить до выпуска проекта.

4.   SEO - как продвинуть сайт

Вы можете подумать, зачем мне знать seo - если я просто хочу программировать?

А seo - вам будет нужно если:

• вы хотите оставить конкурентов позади;

• вы хотите получать стабильный поток клиентов из поиска;

• вы хотите, чтобы ваш бренд узнавали, чтобы клиенты были лояльны к нему;

• вы хотите донести информацию о своих товарах, услугах, о своей компании как можно большему количеству людей;

• вы считаете, что лучше приложить усилия, чем постоянно выкидывать деньги;

• вы хотите увеличить свою прибыль.

Поэтому начинающему программисту, знать немного о seo - будет очень полезно.

5.   Как смотреть логи и тестировать проект

7.  Минимальный английский

Конечно, можно программировать не зная английского. Но все же почти все современные web технологии - изобретены иностранцами, говорящими на английском. Также на иностранных форумах можно найти решения каких то сложных вопросов по программированию. Хорошие документации и спецификации  - также написаны на английском - поэтому английский язык тоже входит в наш список.
